About the INL Opening Session

A vision can serve as a powerful tool for initiating meaningful change. This opening session, hosted by the Institute for Nursing Leadership, features four nurse leaders who inspire others through a shared vision, addressing factors such as doubt, shifting policy and politics, and the alluring comfort of the status quo. Attendees will be challenged to envision the future they want to create and hear how they can use this to propel themselves and others into action. The 2024 opening session embraces the Academy’s final year of celebrating its 50th anniversary- the year to “envision.”

The Institute for Nursing Leadership focuses on positioning nurse leaders to advance local and global change. Through this signature opening session and other programmatic efforts, INL supports nurses to meaningfully exercise their power at every stage of their career and bolster the growth of authentic leadership among nurse leaders. Registration for the INL Opening Session is included in the Health Policy Conference registration.
