Jing Wang

Dr. Jing Wang is Dean and Professor at the Florida State University College of Nursing, where she leads the Boldly Rising Strategic Plan which, to date, has quadrupled undergraduate enrollment, elevated the DNP program to No. 1 in Florida and No. 26 in the nation, and attracted more than $100 million in new federal research funding.

Nationally known for her innovative approach to nursing research and education focused on digital health, aging in place, and human-in-the-loop digital twin artificial intelligence, Dr. Wang was founding director of two digital health centers and founding editor-in-chief of JMIR Aging. 


Committed to a High-Tech High-Touch approach to nursing education, research, and collaborative practice, Dr. Wang is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, a National Academy of Medicine Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Scholar, Josiah Jr. Macy Foundation Macy Faculty Scholar, 2015 TEDMED Scholar, and a Harvard Macy Scholar. Her interdisciplinary research uses mobile and connected health technologies to improve patient outcomes, especially among rural and underserved populations. She currently serves as chair of the board of directors at the Asian American and Pacific Islander Nurses Association, a member of the National Advisory Council for Nursing Research at the National Institutes of Health, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. 


Dr. Wang received her MSN and PhD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, an MPH from its Graduate School of Public Health, and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science from its School of Medicine.
