Distinguished Professor Ching-Min Chen received her Doctor of Nursing Science from the Indiana University, USA in 1995. She is the President of Taiwan Nurses Association (TWNA) and Distinguished Professor of Department of Nursing, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.

Professor Chen has served as the President of the Office of International Affairs and Vice Director of the Research Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences of the university and the legislator of the Legislative Yuan in Taiwan. She was also the President of Taiwan Community Health Nursing Association. Over the years, Professor Chen has been dedicated to the areas of healthy community building, and gerontological and long-term care. Internationally, Professor Chen currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN), being the first Board member to reside in Asia.
