Sir Jonathan E. Asbridge is the Chief Clinical Officer of Sciensus Pharma Services which provides home Systemic Chemotherapy services to over 2,000 cancer patients at any time as well as other treatments for rare and orphan diseases. He has led the clinical services through a time of growth and quality improvement employing over 400 specialist nurses to deliver high tech person centred service to patients and their families. He has previously led reconfiguration of health services across large urban conurbations. Prior to this he was the national director for emergency care for the department of health leading improved service delivery during the 2000s. He was the inaugural President of the Nursing and Midwifery council which is the UK Regulator and Licensure body for the UK. He has previously held Chief Nurse positions at both Oxford and Cambridge Teaching Hospitals and Chief Nurse at Bart's and The Royal London Hospitals group. He has held non executive director positions at the Oxford Community and Mental Health NHS Trust. Sir Asbridge is a visiting Professor at the University of Kent Medical School. He was Knighted for his services to nursing in 2006.
