Aney Abraham serves as Vice President Patient Care Services, Rush University Medical Center and Assistant Professor, Department of Adult Health and Gerontological Nursing, Rush University College of Nursing. Dr. Abraham boasts over forty years of leadership experience, having successfully managed multidisciplinary teams and operations for prominent healthcare systems. Her extensive expertise and dedication have positioned her as a respected leader in the field. She is an active member of the Bylaws committee of the American Nurses Association, demonstrating her commitment to upholding the standards of the nursing profession. Additionally, she has served as the past president of the Indian Nurses Association of Illinois, where her leadership significantly contributed to the organization’s growth and influence. Dr. Abraham also held a position on the board of the National Association of Indian Nurses of America, further underscoring her dedication to supporting and advancing the nursing community at both state and national levels. Her career highlights include playing a pivotal role in creating healthcare access and capacity, particularly during the COVID -19 pandemic. She also spearheaded the development and implementation of the temporary employee program, revolutionizing the nursing workforce and addressing critical staffing needs. Dr. Abraham previously held leadership roles as the Chief Nursing Officer at Asencion Saint Francis Hospital. Through her leadership, she continues to drive positive change in the nursing profession, enhancing both patient care and the work environment for healthcare providers.
