About the Conference
The American Academy of Nursing (Academy) is proud to host its annual Health Policy Conference from October 8-10, 2026, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC. This year’s theme, Digital Health: Promise, Responsibility, will explore ethical and policy considerations within the rise of digital health and artificial intelligence.

Purpose Statement
As digital health innovations are rapidly developed and applied, it is vital to examine their promise while prioritizing the public’s health and safety. These innovations, like artificial intelligence, are accelerating the speed at which the health care landscape is evolving, and leaders must ensure that implementation is responsible and responsive. This conference will explore emergent trends and governance considerations that will impact policy, regulation, and leadership in the context of ethics, accountability, the patient relationship, and scaling care models.
