About the Conference
The American Academy of Nursing (Academy) is proud to host its annual Health Policy Conference from October 8-10, 2026, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC. This year’s theme, Digital Health: Community, Promise, Responsibility, will explore ethical and policy considerations within the rise of digital health and artificial intelligence.

Purpose Statement
As digital health innovations are rapidly developed and applied, it is vital to examine their promise while safeguarding individuals and communities from unintended harm. With an evolving health care landscape, leaders must ensure that the implementation of emerging technologies is responsible and responsive, with effective policies to shape their use. This conference will explore relevant ethical considerations within the rise of digital health, the development of care models to scale practice innovations, and the effects of artificial intelligence on populations.
